Graincient Grilled Cheese and Tomato Flatbread

The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Flatbread by Graincient™ is an ancient twist on an American classic. This frozen product is filled with a cheese blend and has tomatoes baked into the bread, incorporating both the tomato soup and grilled cheese flavor profiles in each bite.

Lost Grains Pita Pockets

Lost Grains Gluten Free Pita Pockets, made with sorghum, finger millet, and yellow millet flours, are soft and pliable allowing them to be easily stuffed, topped, or dipped, and incorporated into any meal or snack of the day. The pitas are kept frozen and microwaved by the consumer just before eating, offering consumers a fresh baked taste and the convenience of defrosting only what they need.

Spinsa: Ancient Grain Sourdough Pizza Crust

Spinsa is an ancient grain pizza crust. Spinsa refers to its heritage as “pinsa romana”, a traditional Roman style of pizza, as well its partial composition of spelt, a high protein ancient grain.

Sobasoy
Presenters: Eric Williams, Neve Blanz, Sara Feldman, Anna Johnson, University of Wisconsin - Madison

SobaSoy is composed of two main elements, a buckwheat flatbread with scallion and ginger inclusions, and a soy and sesame-based dipping sauce. The primary influences on “SobaSoy” are soba noodles (translated: buckwheat noodles) and their accompanying sauce, tsuyu.

All posters will be shown during MarketPlace located in Salon A in the Lower Level of the Hilton.

The winners of the 2019 Product Development Competition will be announced during BakingTech 2019 Closing Session on Tuesday, February 26.  The Closing Session will be held in the International Ballroom North, 2nd Floor of the Hilton Chicago.
