Alex is a Senior Culinary Associate at Blue Apron. He joined the company four years ago and has since served in a variety of culinary roles from recipe writing to product development. As Senior Culinary Associate, Alex currently oversees recipe development for the Blue Apron Marketplace, an online market that features a curated selection of cooking tools as well as customer culinary products. Recently, Alex worked with Bread Alone, an organic baked goods company, to create a bread baking kit, and collaborated with Rakka, a Brooklyn based chocolate company, to develop a highly popular and unique bar exclusively for Blue Apron.
Prior to Blue Apron, Alex worked as a private chef, instructor, and caterer in Brooklyn, NY. He also worked in the test kitchen at Saveur Magazine, where he tested and developed countless recipes from around the globe. Alex began his culinary career as a trained Pastry Chef, and enjoys applying the techniques he learned in professional kitchens to fulfill Blue Apron's mission to make home cooking easier and more accessible to home cooks across the country.
