For 30+ years, Linda Lindquist-Bishop has been immersed in more than a dozen industries in companies ranging from start-ups to multi-national corporations. A native of Chicago with 34 moves under her belt, she has held dynamic and diverse career positions including those of marketing executive, sales manager, magazine publisher, sponsorship director, brand manager, sports property president, entrepreneur, strategic consultant, executive coach, speaker and professional athlete. Certified as a NAVIX Exit Planning Consultant, she guides founder owned businesses through the NAVIX Exit Planning Process to achieve successful exits while building value and growth in the short term.
Lindquist-Bishop has blazed trails in the all-male world of offshore yacht racing, sailing on over 100 teams in the past 30 years. Winning two world championships in 2004 & 2009, she thrives in high-risk, stretch-goal team environments. Making history as a member of America, the first all-women's team to compete in the America's Cup, she simultaneously competed as a team member and co-spearheaded their highly successful sponsorship program, bringing several companies into sports business for the first time.
Awarded Glamour Magazine's "Women of the Year Award" in '95 with America, International Women in Boating "Woman of the Year" in 1996 and the Lifetime Television list of "100 Women of the Century" in '97. As Publisher of Yachting Magazine (Times Mirror), she leveraged her grandprix sports success and 15-years of brand building in the luxury goods market to create an array of non-endemic business opportunities.
A passionate mentor and advocate of inspiring and developing women leaders, Lindquist-Bishop is co-founder and executive director of the Rising Tide Leadership Institute (RTLI). RTLI utilizes the high-tech, high performance platforms of sailing, aviation and motor sport to inspire and equip women leaders.
She lives in Traverse City, MI & Newport, RI with her husband Maj. Gen. (ret.) Brian T. Bishop and their golden retriever, Sky.
