Just Peachy

Just Peachy is a moist sponge cake based snack cake product that includes the unique flavors of peach and ginger. This snack cake is clean label and includes a peach inclusion filling. The peaches used for this cake are frozen in order to have 100% real fruit inclusions. The cake is flavored from a peach puree and natural peach flavorings. The cupcake has a real peach filling that is enrobed in hot fondant to remain intact. There is powdered ginger in the fondant to give the filling better flavoring.

Turkish Cardamom Crunch

Turkish cardamom cookies with apricot filling are a sandwich of two buttery cookies with a sweet apricot and white chocolate filling and cardamom and pistachio to introduce a flavor profile that is tangy, sweet, crunchy, and aromatic. Packaged in a convenient two pack, Turkish cardamom cookies are perfect to hare or snack on yourself. Because of their chocolate coating, these cookies stay crisp for days and have a shelf life of greater than three weeks.

Sustain-a-Bites

Sustain-a-Bites are intensely chocolate cake bites perfect for on-the-go snacking or as an elegant treat. The freeze-dried cake maintains a uniquely crunchy yet airy texture that contrasts with a blanket of velvety cherry jelly and smooth chocolate coating. The deep chocolate flavor is enhanced with roasted cocoa shells, a repurposed waste product that is high in fiber and antioxidants. The addition of dried cherries and a layer of tart cherry jelly bring classic German Black Forest flavors from the Middle Ages into the era of modern snacking habits.

 Winner Presentation

The winners of the 2018 Product Development Competition will be announced during BakingTech 2018 Closing Session on Tuesday, February 27.  The Closing Session will be held in the International Ballroom North, 2nd Floor of the Hilton Chicago.
