A special ASB rate of $180, single/double occupancy, is available to conference attendees at the Marriott.  Please make your reservation directly with the Marriott on or before February 20, 2014 calling (800) 228-9290.  When making your reservation please be sure to mention the group code basasa to obtain the group rate of $180.

The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until February 20, 2014 or until sold out, whichever comes first.  Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest rate.  Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes (currently 16.40%).  Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation.  All cancellations must be canceled by 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax.

The closest major airports to the conference site are Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Chicago Midway Airport (MDW).  Chicago O'Hare Airport is approximately 30 minutes (15 miles) from the Marriott and Chicago Midway is 20 minutes (12 miles) away from the hotel.

Public transportation, taxi, and shuttle service are readily available between both airports and the hotel.

Taxi: Approximately $40 one-way from O’Hare Airport and $30 one-way from Midway.  

Shuttle: You may also take shuttle service, GO Airport Express, from either of the Chicago Airports to the Marriott. Please remember this is an airport shuttle and will make stops at other locations before arriving at the Marriott. Reservations are required for arrivals into either of the Chicago Airports to receive the group discount of 10%. The approximate cost of the shuttles are $49.40 round-trip (O’Hare) and $41.40 round-trip (Midway) with the group discount. Public Transportation: Fares $2.25

  • From O’Hare Airport:  Board the Rapid Transit train (Blue Line) to the Jackson Street stop.  Go downstairs, through the tunnel toward State Street, then back up the stairs.  Board the northbound Howard Line (Red Line) and exit at Grand and State.  Exit subway; walk 2 blocks east to hotel.
  • From Midway:  From baggage claim, follow signs to Rapid Transit train. Take the Rapid Transit train (Orange Line) to the Roosevelt Road stop. Change to the northbound Howard Line train (Red Line) and exit at Grand and State.  Exit subway; walk 2 blocks east to the hotel.
