Product Development Competition Finalists Announced



We had several wonderful proposals submitted for the American Society of Baking's 2015 Product Development Contest.  The judging is complete and we are pleased to announce the following finalists (in no particular order):


Student Finalists

"Hearty Pie" by Ting Lin, Andrew Pham, Mallory Mau and Victoria Lee from University of California, Davis

"Multigrain Masala Mathri" by Alex Maxwell, Emily Ehlers and Amy Guo from Kansas State University

"Whole Wheat Garlic Parmesan Bread" by Emily Elliot, Emily Jackson and Marie Feldpausch from Kansas State University


Professional Finalists

"Buckwheat Pita" by Michelle Kim from Little Door

"Loaf Divided" by Emily Guilfoyle from Corbion

"Muesli Cookie" by Paul Morabito and Braden Cadenelli from Puratos Corporation


These finalists will be working hard to present their final proposals during the American Society of Baking's BakeTech 2015 "ENGAGE THE FUTURE:  People, Products, Processes" meeting this coming March 1 - 3 in Chicago, Illinois.  They will receive an all-expense paid trip to the meeting and will compete for cash and trophies!
