American Society of Baking educational forums provide technical information and problem-solving solutions on all phases of bakery production. The success driven Annual Technical Conference continues to explore sound theories that offer practical applications. Contribution to program content is membership directed and speakers are selected based upon expertise.

Bulletins are authored by members and range in scope from management issues to production solutions. They are released quarterly and their purpose is to keep membership informed on updates and current topics.

The Proceedings are a complete transcript of the Annual Technical Conference. The Proceedings, published directly after the Conference, are provided to all members. The publication includes the text, graphs, charts and photographs for each of the technical papers presented.

Consultants Corner
BIIN is the American Society of Baking Internet site, designed to provide immediate research support. It is an interactive forum where baking professionals can access or exchange information that pertains to the baking industry and baked foods production. The site features two specific user levels: Industry Resources, a public forum linking browsers to hundreds of baking industry resources, and Membership Services, a restricted forum established exclusively for members of the American Society of Baking.

The Membership Services area provides technical papers and bulletins, career planning opportunities as well as access to membership and agricultural databases, consulting services, and other various topics related to the baking industry.

The Showcase is a two-day exposition held in conjuction with the Annual Technical Conference. It features a valuable opportunity to enhance product and service knowledge of allied organizations.

This is an on-line outreach program for members seeking re-employment in the industry. Though not a complete placement service, JobSource functions as a resource network linking members with organizations seeking to fill job openings.

In recognizing the need to promote growth and development in the industry, the American Society of Baking offers special membership status to students participating in bakery science programs at colleges and universities.

Organized to assist members in staying informed of international baking development, the American Society of Baking organizes special discounted group trips for such special events as the iba exposition held in Germany. Specially negotiated air fares and accomodations make such trips more affordable to members.

As a means of enhancing communication throughout the baking industry, the American Society of Baking maintains strong relationships with the American Bakers Association, American Institute of Baking, BEMA, BISSC, RBA, and Kansas State University. Additionally, the American Society of Baking has two foreign affiliates - the Australian Society of Baking and the British Society of Baking.
