Becoming an ASB Member

As a means of meeting the changing needs of the baking industry, ASB offers three classifications of membership: Professional and Lifetime and Associate.

Professional Membership

Membership is open to all individuals in the baking industry whether they are employed with baking organizations, equipment or ingredient suppliers or baking service related organizations. Membership fees are $155 per year for domestic US members and $165 for International. Benefits include:

  • Opportunity to work on industry technical and administrative committees, present and share technical knowledge
  • Complete voting priviledges

Lifetime

Lifetime Membership is available to all ASB Members that have achieved 25 years of continuous membership and have formally retired from the industry. Membership is complimentary.

  • All benefits and priviledges of the Professional Level plus
  • Lifetime membership in the Society
  • Complimentary annual admission to the Society’s Annual Technical Conference
  • Admission to the Society’s Legacy Center

Associate Membership

Associate - Individuals who are presently enrolled as full-time students or member sponsored baking plant supervisory personnel. Membership is complimentary until the Associate enters a management position. Benefits include:

  • Access to the Society's Internet Resources
  • Complimentary admission to Society’s Annual Conference through the ASB Mentoring Program.
  • Access to the ASB Skill Assesment Center
  • Discount on AIB courses and seminars
  • Participation in the ASB Certified Baking or Engineering Program
  • Eligibility in the ASB Scholarship Program
