Operations 1: Controlling Your Costs

Over the last few years there have been trends and drivers that are reshaping the Bakery Industry.  Consumer eating habits have resulted in a reduction in the sale of baked goods.  The response by the industry has been toward consolidation and operational excellence.  Additionally, changes in product formulations and new product introductions have targeted  the healthier lifestyle-consumer.

How do these changes impact product quality, stability and distribution?  The presentation will review these trends and their impact on packaging requirements.  Performance solutions will be discussed that offer the industry the ability to maintain quality, enhance product shelf-life for longer distribution, while improving throughput and lowering unit cost.
